Several fun events are planned to honor the O'Loughlin students' dedication to reading.

  • May 7th--Library Books Due

All library books are due, Friday, May 7th, in the Media Center. Students may use books the last week of school for research or reading while in the Media Center. Any books not returned must be paid for in the Media Center. Thank you for returning your books on time.

  • May 12th--100 Point Breakfast

A breakfast will be held for students in Kindergarten through 2nd grade that have earned 50 or more AR points and students in grades 3rd-5th grade that have earned 100 AR points or more. The breakfast will be held in the library from 7:40 to 8:10 am. It will include doughnuts and juice. Students that have earned this breakfast will get a note to help remind their parents of the event's day and time.

  • May 13th--Reading is Right

The students of O'Loughlin have earned their schoolwide AR goal for the second semester of 5,500 AR points. To reward them for their hard work the library will be hosting a game show called "Reading is Right". The reading celebration will begin at 2:00 pm in the gym; all classes are invited to attend. Before we begin the Reading is Right game show we will recognize the top AR point earners for each grade level.
