The 2009 Fall Fundraiser is still being tallied, but the good news is we have surpassed last year's sales already! Way to go, O'Loughlin students!

Next meeting is Monday, November 2, at 6:30 pm in the media center. Even though there is no school on that day, we will have our meeting. Please join us. If you are not a member, you can still sign up.

Thanks to Tara Tracy for organizing and her parent volunteers for supplying meals and snacks for the teachers during conferences. Our teachers and staff spend extra time preparing and having the conferences and a quick meal is our way to say thank you!

There will be a planning meeting sometime in November for O'Loughlin Family Night, which will be held Friday, January 22, 2010 from 5-8 pm at O'Loughlin. If you signed up at PTA enrollment, you will be contacted. If you want to help and are not sure you signed up, please contact Tammy or Theresa. It takes a lot of volunteers to make this a fun night for our families.

I was asked recently why are we PTA vs PTO or Home and School and save those $3.00 state and national dues. Short of answering "that's the way it has always been", I decided to do what we do now when we don't know the answer...I googled it! I would recommend you do the same. I found it very interesting to find out what my $3.00 does to speak for our children in Topeka and Washington. Put in PTA vs PTO to check it out. Discussion is always welcome at the meetings!
